We started Desert Spring Apothecary knowing exactly what our mission was. We wanted an all natural alternative for skin care, remedies and day to day products. We started using pastured beef tallow in 2023, we fell in love with the moisturizing and natural aspect of it . A nice clean, natural product! I started making Whipped Tallow Balm to use on my baby's diaper rashes. I saw such a difference I started to use it on my skin. After using Whipped Tallow Balm I will never go back to any other moisturizer. We have decided to make many more skin care products made with Beef Tallow as well as Leather Balm that is made with tallow. My husband and I operate our own herd of cattle. Therefore, we have to ride through the cows and calves on our horses to make sure that there the herd is nice and healthy. We thought instead of buying a leather conditioner we should just make our own, and so we did. We will be making many more useful products and remedies.
